Optical Equipment Calibration in New Zealand

Cal Lab NZ Ltd is New Zealand’s first locally owned and operated Optical Calibration Laboratory, providing a specialist calibration service for optical test equipment used by installers and maintainers of optical fibre.  We can calibrate single mode and multimode equipment, including OTDR’s, power meters, light sources and attenuators. In addition using our video inspection microscope and polishing machine we can repair and renew old patchcords.

Another first is our specially designed and built mobile calibration laboratory.

Our mobile service minimises equipment downtime as we come to your site no matter where you are. There will be no need to send your expensive equipment overseas and there is no danger of transit damage.

We have a choice of calibrations to suite your budget ranging from a Certificate Only calibration to a Standard Calibration that is fully compliant to ISO/IEC 17025  including measurement uncertainties.  All certificates are provided in pdf format, but hardcopies are available on request.

All Cal Lab Calibrations are traceable to national or international standards.  An example is our OTDR distance artefact that is directly traceable to the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in the UK.
